WHO IS GOLDEN NUTRITIOUS FOODS CORP

Golden Nutritious Foods Corporation can trace its roots back to 1991 as a simple re-packer of oatmeal in the Philippines. The company traded as Golden Oats Corporation and was founded by current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Eugene Y. Arriesgado. We began with our regular lines of quick cooking and instant oats, which was being sold on nationwide basic.

Sales modestly grew and the company was beginning to realize its potential after a few years through prudent and aggressive growth strategies. However the current line-up of products and its organizational set up was an indication for the company to be taken to a new level. As a result the company had to be re-organised and after a few years, we re-named it to Golden Nutritious Foods Corporation (GNFC) where Golden Oats was retained as the company brand.

WHERE ARE WE

21 years on and still growing…
In 2012, we aim to secure the company's sustained long term growth through the professionalization of our head office. The introduction of different committees allows us to achieve such goals through collaboration, debate, and voting. Three(3) new committees were established:

3. Operations Committee

Manufacturing And Supply Chain

GNFC continuously looks into enhancing its supply chain management in a number of ways.

1. Working with our supplies to further improve quality of raw materials
2. Working with our packaging supplies to meet and corporation standards
3. Monitoring & feedback of equipment suppliers to reduce waste
4. Warehousing improvements to improve sanitation and temperature level

Marketing And Sales

Currently, the sales team of the company consists of 9 area managers, each of them covering their respective areas nationwide. Their official mandate is to grow the business through marketing and sales techniques. For example, situational analyses are a component of what is required when analysing the area.
